Day 26- Favorite clothing store.
Well, since I am a bigger gal, my (affordable) stores are WalMart, Sears, JC Penny, and Lane Bryant (exclusively plus size and pretty clothing).

30 Days about Me:Day 25
Day 25- Who is/are your best friends?
Best friends - Hubby - The one person who has loved me unconditionally (besides parents). He has never stopped loving me even when I felt like I wasn't worthy. He holds me when I need it, lifts me up when I need, pushes me to be better when I don't feel like I can be. He tells me I am beautiful when I don't see it, he has accepted me with all my faults, and has NEVER tried to change me to suit his wants/image of perfect. I feel so privileged to be able to spend the rest of my days with this wonderful man.
Chuckie - My darling daughter Charlotte. She is a blessing in so many ways, and has taught me such strong lessons in others. I wish I could prevent the heartaches she will face, but she, like me, will learn the hard way. She is funny, moody, and vicious if provoked! She will defend her point till the cows come home if she thinks she is right. And she will make you melt with a great hug. She is a really good listener, and wont hesitate to give you her opinion. (They can be STRONG)
Gayle - I met Gayle at Snow College. She is a year younger than my mom, and despite the age difference, we hit it off. She is a very strong woman. She is a wife, mother and grandmother. She has experienced things no mother ever should, the loss of a child. She has taught me a lot, and shown me how valuable patience is.
Mom - She has been there through the toughest times, and through the best times. I know she has sacrificed for me, has gone through some of the toughest times I have ever thought of for me and my siblings. She is the one who hugged me close when my heart had been broken. She is the one who gave advice (wanted or not) that I should have learned from! She helped me when I couldn't walk after Jonathan was born, was the one who listened when I couldn't hear. She has prayed for me when she thought I wasn't going down the right path. She has used strong language to guide me, she has even used strong hands from time to time. There truly aren't enough words to tell about my mom.

30 Days about Me:Day 24
Day 24- Where You Live? Tell us or show us about where you live
I live in a beautiful small town in central Utah by the name of Fairview. No stop lights, most places shut down by 9 p.m. There is a bank (open till 1), a diner, a dairy freeze, and 2 gas stations. Here is a link to mapquest.
Fairview, Ut
The fun here happens during the 24th of July, (Pioneer Day - State holiday). There is the firemans wakeup at 6am where the firetrucks go around town and wake up the people. Then you have the fun run, a 5k at 6:30, and the firemans breakfast at the park at 7. This is where the firefighters cook pancakes, eggs and sausage and serve it for the towns people who will come out.
Then there are the parades. Little kids first, riding their bicycles or mini floats (wagons decorated to look like covered wagons) down state street.
Next comes the Mammoth parade - named because there was a wolly mammoth found up our canyon in 1985. A replica of it is in our museum.
http://sanpete.com/pages/fairview - here is a link describing more of Fairview and a picture of our Mammoth.
These are some pics of the last parade.

30 Days about Me:Day 21
Day 21- A recipe you love - Maker beware! It is fattening, and high in colesteral, but OHH so nummy!!
Corn Meal Bread
9 X 13 Pan, Bake - 325 degrees, 40 minutes
9 X 13 Pan, Bake - 325 degrees, 40 minutes
Ingredients - 3 C Milk
1 C Water
1 C Butter
2 C Sugar
2 C Corn Meal
12 Eggs
Directions - Combine milk, water, butter, sugar and corn meal in sauce pan. Cook mush till thick (looks like breakfast mush). Seperate the eggs. Add the yolks into the cooked mush mix. Beat the whites till they are stiff. FOLD stiff whites into mush mix. (I add the mush to the cake pan first. Its easier to fold in the whites.)
Bake for 40 minutes at 325. Allow to cool, slice and serve. My kids like to add butter, sugar, and or maple syrup to the top. *I reheat mine a tiny bit, so the butter melts a touch. Nothing more that a touch of butter for me.* (I don't WANT to know the calorie count!)

30 Days about Me:Day 20
Day 20- Something you wished you could forget - I wish I could forget the time of my life when I wasn't a very good wife, mother, daughter, and all around person. No - I am not going into details.
I know I was a horrible person for a while. I learned some GREAT lessons because of this time in my life, so this is why I cannot forget it. I will use these lessons to become the better person I truly want to be.

30 Days about Me:Day 19
Day 19- A talent/hobby of yours
I haven't really considered myself as talented, but I can play the saxophone (I did through high school) and I can crochet. I have had projects win at the county fair. I would love to have the time to get a project to place at the state level.
Here are a few pics of items I have made.
Lots to dust! Looks like I better get after that!

30 Days about Me:Day 18
Day 18- Wedding Talk
My wedding - My wedding was 22 years ago on the 13th, it was a Friday! No one had any catastrophic accidents that day, although there was a fight between Scott and Kimberly over car keys. Someone had cleaned off the counter, and the keys went into the trash can.
I wore my mother's wedding dress (the old), a friends hat (the borrowed), I think I had blue earings (I can't remember, and my hair covers them in the pictures), and for the new part it was the shoes.
My colors were peach and baby blue, both my mom and Marks made the dresses the sisters, and themselves are wearing. Maid of Honor - Kathryn Stevens, Best man - Scott Larsen (Mark's older brother).
Wedding cake was made by Aunt Wanda as our present. Beautiful crystal swans for the topper. It was really good cake too! I enjoyed it.
Looking back at the pictures, I cried because there are family members who are no longer here, Grandpa Sudweeks, Grandpa Larsen, Grandpa Lewis, Grandma Hall have all passed from this earth onto their next adventure hopefully without all the pain they were experiencing here.
I want that body back! I was so thin! At the time I was feeling rather big and I am sorry if I made anyone listen to the whine about weight at that time!
Well that was a fun trip down memory lane!

30 Days about Me:Day 17
Day 17- Your Biggest Insecurity and; Something About Yourself You Are Proud Of
My biggest insecurity would be that I will be left alone. I worry about that all the time. I worry that since I have spent so many years working for someone else that I haven't spent enough time and effort on my marriage. I have been married to my hubby for 22 years now. We have had our share of troubles, but I know we can strengthen and build a new realtionship together.
I also worry that have spent too much time working that I didn't raise my children "good" enough. Since I am working for myself now, and that is my only "job", I feel I can focus on the hubby, kids, and myself now.
I also worry about body image like so many other women. I have always had issues with weight, but I know I am fighting a genitics issue, not just what I eat, or how much I exercise. (But those choices are getting better too!)
Something about me that makes me proud - one of many things is....my marriage! Not giving up, fighting for it, learning how to be patient with myself and my hubby. I went back to school, and finished my Associates of Applied Science Degree. Which means I fast tracked to get to work. To finish it up, I have general ed classes to take. (Science, Physical Ed, and a few others.)
I am also proud of getting off my butt, and discovering I can do things! I can be active. I can choose to eat better, I can choose to exercise. I choose to love my family. I choose to love my hubby. I choose to love me! Because I want to be a better me!

30 Days about Me: Day 16
Day 16 - Who Do You Do the Most Crazy Things With OR What is the Most Crazy Thing You’ve Done?
Craziest thing I have ever done, was move to Mitchell, SD with my best friend. We were chasing a better future only to discover that the job we went for was NOT better than the one we had.
My sister would say the craziest thing I have ever done is ride the roller coaster in Las Vegas. It was scary, but exciting at the same time. I have also ridden the Wicked at Lagoon (amusement park in northern Utah) a couple of times with my kids and "the band".

30 Days about Me:Day 14
Day 14- Somewhere You’d Love to Travel
I would love to go on a cruise, I would love to go to the ancient ruins in Mexico, or to Alaska - fishing anyone? Or Hawaii - to see the sea and the snow at the same time sounds interesting, so does lying on the beach. (I keep thinking of Elvis's movie Blue Hawaii. I know its not like that anymore but don't we all wish it was?) Scotland - to go on a tour of the castles! Heck I would even like to get back to Texas to see the Alamo and the River Walk in Houston.

30 Days about Me:Day 13
Day 13- Something or Someone that has had a huge impact on your life.
Someone who has had a huge impact on my life - There are so many someones, its not fair to single one out.
Start with Mom and Dad - Without them I wouldn't be me. Mom - Thanks for loving me even when I didn't deserve it. Dad - Thanks for wanting to be my dad! You didn't have to, and you are the best.
My siblings, without them I would have been lonely growing up. Curtis - There are 7 years between us. Your drive to take the best care of your family AND follow your dreams are inspiring to me. What a cute family you have too! I am impressed with you and your talents, from photographer, to father, and husband. Randi - there are 9 years between us, and I am amazed every day at where your life has take you. The ups and the downs, and then up again to get Mike and Cayson and the downs of your health after. I have lots of hope that you will experience a miracle and your health will improve! Kristalynn - There are 12 years between us, and I have felt at times like I was not just the big sister. I think you have done amazing things with your life even if you feel differently! Your talent for poetry, your knowledge of and kindness for animals (both the two legged and four legged!) is inspiring to me. I can only hope to be like you when I grow up.
My wonderful husband and best friend for the past 22 years - Mark. I cannot imagine a world where we are not together. Your heart and mind often conflict, but I always know where I stand with you.
My children - Baby 1 - Growing up that quick was hard, but I will always be the birth mother.
- Jonathan - Your my boy and you "broke" me. Thanks for being a friend to mom all these years, and my video game buddy! Thanks for not laughing at me to much while I tried to play them with you. I am proud of you and the way you are starting to stand on your own. Now that you are married to Nichelle, you need to get off HER toes, (seriously check your skis!) and the two of you can start standing together.
- Charlotte - You are my youngest and honestly I have admired the courage with which you take on life. You have never backed down from a challenge, which is something I hope you have learned from me. You are stubborn, but you also want to be loved! You are if you will let us through that hard shell you are building around you. Please learn from the mistakes of those older than you, and try to take it "under advisement."

30 Days about Me:Day 12
Day 12 - Something you are OCD about -
I am OCD about paper money. When I get cash it all has to be facing the same way. I also unfold any crinkled corners. Stacked from largest bills on the bottom to smallest on the top. Then it is folded ONCE with the larger bills in the center.
I also apply this to checks, larger denominations at the bottom of the stack, and when I receive Tax forms that are of differing sizes, I also stack them largest on the back, then by amount.
I know its weird, but its what I do.

Day 10- A Photo Taken Over 10 Years Ago of You and A Current One
What's that? A post from me? I didn't give up?
I actually found my photos, and managed to get the scanner to talk to the computer! Awesome day! (Missed a few days trying to get equipment to talk to each other, but I will keep posting from here! Don't you just love the cell phone photos? They always give me a double chin!)

30 Days about Me:Day 9
Day 9- Something That Makes Your Life Easier
This could be the Mountain Dew bottle, the alarm clock, the timer, or the remote control. Or is it the washer and dryer, or all the other houshold appliances that have been invented. Or is it the telephone/cell phone?
At this moment, I would say the household appliances have made a big impact, I can cook in the home without a fire. I can keep food cold without it spoiling in a refrigerator. (Ok, so it spoils in there too. But it did stay fresh longer than if it was outside.) I can wash clothes with out the aid of rocks or a washboard. I can stay up late because of electricity and television with the remote control. I can get up the next morning with the help of the alarm clock and electricity. I carry a timer on my shirt most days to keep me on task. (I can do anything for 15 minutes.) I am amazed how much I do get done once I get my caffiene in that Mtn. Dew bottle.
I do think though that the telephone and Cell phone has been the biggest thing to make my life easier. I can rest my mind by just placing a call. I can call someone else to make dinner. I can call the teenager to see where they are! (Or using the cell phone, I can track them by GPS!)
I was going to say it was the computer, but that would be adding to my workload. I love it and hate it at the same time. Love it because it lets me keep up with all my friends and family. Dislike how distracting it can be when I have work to do!

30 Days about Me:Day 8
Day 8- Something You Hate
I am really trying not to HATE anything. I dislike cooked spinach, I dislike my weight. But I can/am change/changing the weight.
I also dislike people who make everything an emergency. They forgot the deadline until it is 2 hours from now. Call me in a panic, "Can you get it done?" Most of the time, I can if . . . IF I drop everything I am doing now, and you have it to me NOW. UNLESS there are 13 others who like you forgot even after I sent you a reminder, after I called you to say it is due next week. Most of the time I will even try to help you organize if there is time before the deadline.
Is that being to nice? I am feeling lately that it is. I am wondering if they don't take what I do seriously. It does take brains, and time to sort through all the information they have. It takes paper, ink, printers, computers, printers talking to computers, computer programs, and NO virus's or other bad mojo happening to my equipment to make it possible. It takes the power not going out at a key moment when I haven't saved! It also takes a puppies with a short attention spans to STAY in OUR yard when out for a potty break!
So yes, I will help if I can. I just wish people were conscious enough of the time it takes to do the work. It takes them 3 to 4 hours just to organize, why would I be able to go through their information in 10 minutes?
Another thing I dislike - people with moods that flip from happy to depression in less than the blink of an eye and all I did was smile at them! Sorry to you for having such a crummy life that you have to scowl back when I am smiling at you. AND - just because I smile at you guys - you know who you are - I AM NOT HITTING ON YOU! Tell your wife she wants you, and go HOME!
Got off on a tangent there, sorry.

30 Days about Me:Day 6
30 Days about Me:Day 6 - Most Treasured Item - This one is easy for me - My Wedding ring. This rings story took 20 years to write. The three colored stones are children (mirrored on each side) my hubby's birthday is April, so the diamond in the middle. I have had this ring for 2 years now.
The other ring is the one Mark gave me when we got engaged. Turquoise and silver. He picked it up when he was 8.
30 Days about Me:Day 5
30 Days about Me:Day 5 - So far, I am doing pretty good I think about staying on a schedule here. Trying to decide if I should get caught up on my days, or just stay doing them in order. (By my count you should have two more than you do.) - You get them caught up! Yay me!
Day 5- Favorite Quote - I can't decide which one of these is actually my favorite. I will share them all.
What goes into your mouth will not defile you, rather it is what comes out of your mouth that will reveal you. - Paraphrased from Matthew 15:11
Which way did they go? Which way did they GO? I must find them! I AM THEIR LEADER! -
"Change your thoughts and you can change your world." - Norman Vincent Peale
"We make ourselves miserable or we make ourselves strong. The amount of work is the same." - Carlos Castaneda
"Make it a rul of life to never regret and never to look back. Regret is an appalling waist of energy; you can't build on it; it's only good for wallowing in." - Katherine Mansfield
"There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle." - Albert Einstein
"Let go of the past and go for the future. Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you imagined." - Henry David Thoreau
"To forgive is to set a prisoner free and discover that the prisoner was you." - Lewis Smedes
"Live is like a grindstone. Whether it grinds you down or polishes you up, that's up to you." - Gary Ceran
"You cannot solve a problem with the same mind that created it." - Albert Einstein
This last one was in a magazine, no author was cited.
It's all about Character
Watch your thoughts;
They become words.
Watch your words;
They become actions.
Watch your actions;
They become habits.

They become your character.
Watch your character;
It becomes your destiny.

30 Days about Me:Day 4

30 Days about Me:Day 3
Day 3- Favorite Television Show - Last year, I would have asked what shows were still out there to choose from. I was working a bit much.
I have been watching a few shows lately like:Army Wives, Drop Dead Diva, Biggest Looser, Criminal Minds, and The Mentalist. I have one that I can only find on Hulu - Being Erica - I am REALLY liking it! There are 3 seasons so far, and they were originally on Soap Net.

30 Days About Me:Day 1
I have seen folks all over the web doing 30 day challenges, weather it be 30 consistent days of blogging to 30 days of no caffeine. I even saw one that was 30 days of exercise! I thought that was great, but then they added the eating healthy too! While I can see these are all good things, I am going to start small. Here is the start of 30 days of blogging. (I am already working on the exercise every day, and the caffeine? THAT one will be a while! LOL
Day 1: Favorite Song
This is a loaded question for me. I have SO many favorites!
I grew up in the 80's, and I was in Band. So there are lots of different styles and sounds that I like. - - - OK I love it all!
My favorite changes from country to the 80's to almost everything.
For starters: You and me against the world - Anne Murray, Elvis - Blue Christmas (honestly anything by Elvis!), Laughter in the Rain - Neil Sedaka, The Twist and Blueberry Hill - Chubby Checker, It's my Party - Lesley Gore, Lean on Me - Bill Withers, That's the way I like it - KC and the Sunshine Band, Harper Valley PTA - Jeannie C Riley, Sounds of Silence - Simon and Garfunkel, Pretty Woman - Roy Orbison, RESPECT - Aretha Franklin, Sunshine (on my shoulders) - John Denver, How Deep is your love - The Bee Gees, All I Need - Jack Wagner (a little Frisco from GH always made my day!) Tarzan Boy - Baltimora, Kenny Rogers (ALL of his music) Dolly Parton and not to forget Styx, Poison, Rush, Erasure, Pet Shop Boys - - -
I could go on for days!
My current favorites - Pink - Funhouse, or Adele - Rollin in the deep, Nickleback, Bruno Mars, I Was Here - Lady Antebellum, Collin Raye. (If you want to cry, look up the 11th commandment by Collin Raye.) And an artist to watch - Kalai - latest album came out in April
And if someone could tell me how to post the video that would be great!
More tomorrow!
