Sorry!
Now that that is out there, I have been a little bit busy trying to wrap up my loose ends since the appointment on the 13th of April. While there, they did a sonogram of each of my legs, and found that a few of the veins are not flowing right. So they can fix me! Yeah! The first procedure was scheduled for the 20th of May.
I got through tax season. Whew! Now to finish up those extensions! Not that many really. I was a bit disappointed this year, I had about 30 people either go somewhere else or did their own. Not a bad thing, just a small hit to my business. With the way the economy has been going I was actually surprised I had that few leave me.
Charlotte and the band did VERY well at Region, well enough to go to STATE! This is the first time in about 25 years that the North Sanpete Band has been to State! Mr. Kidder has done an excellent job with these kids. (It helps to have someone who believes in them!) The Jazz band also has done extremely well this year. Made it to region competitions.
I was able to go with them to Region (April 15th) at Carbon High (SCORE 1,1,1-) State (May 2nd) at UVU (SCORE 2,2,2-) They did better than Woods Cross! And Music in the Parks held at North Ridge High and Lagoon on the 9th of May, where they got a first place trophy!
Now as for the first procedure. I had it. Valium is an amazing little pill! I am usually nervous, clench my hands or grit my teeth whenever I am near needles. Not after taking that pill. Slight pinching and pressure. That's about it. Bandaged from above my knee to my ankle, but not to bad for the first 48 hrs. I just need to watch my activity. NO running, not able to join in my weight loss boot camp for a bit, but I am supposed to walk, or even a little bicycle at the gym.
I am NOT liking the compression stockings that go all the way to my butt, but I know they are helping. I just wish that I didn't have to do those at all. I know however that they are part of what is saving my life. If they prevent a clot that is awesome!
Jon got on in Jackson Hole, he will be cleaning rooms up there for the summer at least. Maybe longer if he likes it or if they like him. The only hard part for me is that Nichelle is up there with him. (We thought they could use the time apart.) But, better make the best of the situation, cause I don't want to sound to judgemental.
School is out for the summer, this means summer band for Charlotte, so that is lots of parades for me. HOPEFULLY we can convince Mr. Kidder and the rest of the band that they should march in the County Fair Parade the end of August. It shouldn't just be the south end of the county getting all the attention there!
Almost forgot to let you all in on the school front. With all the medical, problems, kids moving, kids growing up, I decided to let school go for a bit. I will probably go back after Charlotte graduates. I was having nights where there was no sleep, and still working on my business, and for Skyline, coming home to log into school and falling asleep in the chair. It really sucks to fall of an office task chair! Anyhow, I will go back, just not till after Charlie graduates.
