Dr. visit, update, life

When I last talked, I was going in to the Dr. Well, he had them draw blood, (I still can't watch that!) and he sent me for a sonogram of my neck. The blood work came back with all the levels of everything they tested for in the normal range.
The sonogram of my neck was more for my thyroid, to see if there were any problems there. It revealed a nodule in one of them, but they keep telling me it is nothing to worry about.
So the Dr. and I discussed my diet, soda intake, salt intake, etc. He told me to avoid soda, I told him I haven't had a drink of soda since July 08. As for the salt, I have backed off of what I had been eating, and I am now reading the labels.
I am to wear support hose, (You know the kind that grandma's wear for varicose veins? Yeah, those socks!) and guess what?! They do work to keep the swelling down as long as I wear them. (The trick is getting them on in the first place!)
I am also to take a water and potassium pill each day.
I also have to exercise a bit, and put my feet up when I sleep.
Trying this regiment for a month. If the swelling in my lower legs doesn't get better, I will be asking for a referral for a different diagnosis.
